DRIVING VISITORS TO THE HEART OF CHESAPEAKE COUNTRY
Leveraging our success with Dorchester’s economic development office, we were retained to implement a proactive public relations and advertising program.
Much of our work centered on promoting the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad and Byway. For the opening of the new Harriet Tubman Visitor Center, we secured national stories with BET, New York Times, Post, CBS Evening News, NPR and many high profile media outlets. Attendance topped 100K people the first year.
Ad campaigns focused on Tubman-related assets and showcased outdoor recreation (paddling, cycling, boating, fishing and hunting), local restaurants, craft beer, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort, and waterside attractions.
