Project Description
Harry R. Hughes Center
UNDERSTANDING THE PUBLIC’S CONNECTION TO FARMS & FORESTS
The Harry R. Hughes Center for Agro-Ecology convenes diverse interests from agricultural, forestry and environmental communities to retain Maryland’s working landscapes and industries and promote a healthy Chesapeake Bay watershed.
Working with the Center’s leadership and OpinionWorks, we developed the first statewide survey showing Marylander’s awareness and engagement with agriculture. “Growing for Good: Farming and Forestry in Maryland” quantified agricultural and forestry literacy among state residents and examined their awareness of the agricultural industries.
